Our brief was to renew and alter layout of bathroom and shower room, and alter waste pipework system.

The existing installation was beginning to become tired after 12 years, with the usual new build issues; water ingress around vanity units, causing the panels to swell and look unsightly, and a total failure of the shower tray cubicle, resulting in plasterboard walls deteriorating behind tiles, and the floor swelling under the tray
What we did:
Working on one room at a time, the original installation was removed, plasterboard was removed back to the blockwork and chipboard removed from the floor
The partition stud wall between the bathroom and shower room remained, but was ply lined before boarding
Moisture resistant board was used on non wet areas, with tile board being used in the shower area
Instead of going for a similar design as the original install, it was decided to omit the vanity unit option, and instead go for traditional ceramic with a modern design and a free standing bath.
The rooms feel decidedly bigger and brighter and are much easier to maintain and clean. Additional shelving units you added can be easily removed with no damage to tiles.
